2022 ANNUAL GIFTS FOR MONKS ATTENDING TSORI SCHOOL FOR TIBETAN CHILDREN
Photos. April 29th, 2022
Teacher Lopon Sangya Phuntsho la hand out First and Second Prize Gifts for the annual school examination recognition. This is a special honor and recognition of excellence by the Tsori Gonpa.
Each and every student and monk work hard everyday of the year. By honoring themselves, the monks also honor of our H.H. Tulku Tsori Rinpoche and his life's vision and dedication to shelter, clothe and educate Tibetan refugee children.
As we continue to celebrate the beautiful life of our Rinpoche and pray for his swift rebirth, our work and dedication continues. Our compassion for all the sentient being is endless. Challenges and obstacles are never easy but the reward for helping others succeed is true happiness.
We humbly ask for your participation in our happiness with a modest recurring monthly contribution of $25.

New Wall & fresh paint for Mainpat MONASTERY & Tsori gonpa
PHOTOS. April 22nd, 2022 - Wall
PHOTOS. April 26th, 2022 - Painting
Perimeter Wall. Much progress is being made in building the fence around the Tsori School for Tibetan Children and Mainpat Gonpa. The work is very tedious and labor intense.
There are many repairs and maintenance needs in preparing for the upcoming rainy season aka the monsoons from July to October. Many rooms for the monks need their leaky roof repaired.
Fresh Paint. Much needed upkeep continues with a fresh coat of paint for the Tsori School for Tibetan Children and Mainpat Gonpa.
Please consider a recurring monthly donation of $25 to help the monks maintain our school and monastery.

BUILDING A FENCE IN MAINPAT
April 3rd, 2022.
Lots of maintenance and repairs going on at the Monastery in Mainpat this week. The Tsori Gonpa roof needs roof repair to fix the leaking when it rains. The monsoon season begins in July and it typically rains for several months.
The fence that borders the Monastery and Tsori School for Tibetan Children is being fortified with new bricks and mortar.
Also, in need of repairing and upkeep are the dorms for the monks. Some of the dorms also have leaky roofs and water damage is constant issue.
Your continued support and donations are greatly appreciate.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF VEN TULKU TSORI RINPOCHE
February 26th, 1974 - November 1st, 2021
February 26th, 1974 - November 1st, 2021
The song by Genesis, 'Man on the Corner' is symbolic and one of the best ways I know how to explain our connection. When we found Rinpoche, we found ourselves. While we all believe we found Him, reality will always be, he lead us to find ourselves. We are ALL family, his family. He criss-crossed the world looking for each of us. Who. among us think this was a fluke, a freak occurrence? Rinpoche knows us intimately and shoulders a world in need of compassion and love. His mission has been selfless and without interruption. If we want to honor HH Tulku Tsori Rinpoche, we must first honor ourselves, then continue honoring Him in present form and continue moving his legacy forward. - Jerry la

Vesak May 7, celebrates Buddha’s birth, along with his enlightenment and death in some traditions. The holiday has been officially celebrated since 1950, when the World Fellowship of Buddhists formalized it as Buddha’s birthday.
Buddhism is practiced by around 500 million people across the globe, in dozens of countries. Vesak is a holiday common to all Buddhists, but is celebrated differently according to local customs. Because Vesak is based on the Asian lunisolar calendar, the day usually falls on the full moon in the Gregorian month of May, but this varies widely according to each country’s traditions. Tashi Delick! Our Ven. Tulku Tsori Rinpoche from his self-quarantine in Mainpat, India, sends us a teaching and message of hope during these days of uncertainty caused by the Covid19 global pandemic. |
The Tonglen Meditation is a Tibetan Buddhist practice for overcoming the fear of suffering and for dissolving the tightness of our heart. Primarily it is a method for awakening the compassion that is inherent in all of us.

Teaching on Shinay meditation led by Tibetan Lama Tulku Tsori Rinpoche. As taught in the Tibetan tradition, meditation has two stages. The first is called in Sanskrit, shamata or in Tibetan, shinay. Shiné or shinay means restful or relaxed or "tranquility meditation" -- "resting in naturalness," "calm abiding." We talk about shinay, the shinay is a kind of foundation for meditation practice because if we don't develop quietness somehow we can't really do any kind of meditation because if we want to make a good painting we must have a clean canvas so we can make the creation on top of it. Like that if our mind is complicated and disturbed it is very difficult to work until it so the first step for entire meditation practice is to develop the state of quietness, calmness the togetherness.
