Kundung Stupa and Peace Park operate on volunteer power. Every day volunteers open the park in the morning and close it at night. They maintain the grounds and trails, provide professional services like graphic arts and copy writing, manage ongoing projects like the Path to Peace and the “Friends” Program. And some just spend time at the Stupa acting as greeters and guides for the 200+ visitors that come to the park every day.
Giving time and effort to help others feels wonderful. We get to see the immediate impact of our efforts and enjoy the smiles of the people we help and work beside. As a volunteer, you’ll find plenty of those satisfying moments that make volunteering such a spiritual uplift.

A Path to Peace in Mainpat India
The Path to Peace was created to give people a way to have a permanent presence at the Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park. Several hundred people have sponsored inscribed bricks that are often dedicated to the memory of loved ones, in gratitude to a friend, to mark a special occasion, to support a cause, and to make intentions and prayers for peace and more.
Sponsoring a brick and joining the Path to Peace family is a wonderful way to support the Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park. Your brick will become a touchstone, a special place of remembering. The bricks are often visited by those who sponsor them.

Imagine walking into the prayer room and seeing gold flowing outward in both directions like ocean waves, each sponsored statue representing a commitment to attain enlightenment, to end suffering or to remember a loved one.
As each Buddha statue is sponsored it receives a new coat of gold, a newly painted face, and receives its own plaque with your dedication printed on it to be viewed for years to come.
The 1000 Buddha altar is located in the main prayer room, where prayers have been made continuously 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for over 30 years.
The Buddhas receive the constant blessing of those prayers, as well as the profound blessings of the many teachings and empowerments which take place at YTDR.
As each Buddha statue is sponsored it receives a new coat of gold, a newly painted face, and receives its own plaque with your dedication printed on it to be viewed for years to come.
