A stupa embodies the mind of Enlightenment. It provides a focal point for the prayers of those who wish peace and freedom from suffering, acting as a wish-fulfilling jewel for those prayers. Now KPC is creating a garden of such wishes to surround the Enlightenment Stupa. We invite you to dedicate a brick in that garden to honor your loved ones or a cherished cause. All who walk the stupa path making beneficial prayers will see your dedication and be inspired. The benefit of their prayers will be added to your own.
Located near the temple, the stupa stands 36 feet tall, gleaming white against the lush backdrop of the Maryland forest. Built in 1988 at the request of Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo, and consecrated by His Holiness Penor Rinpoche, it imbues the temple land with its sacred power. Because it is located within easy driving distance of Washington, D.C., thousands of people from around the world come to visit and make offerings and prayers.
Bricks come in two sizes: $100 to inscribe a 4×8 brick (with a three-line dedication of 18 characters per line) $250 to inscribe an 8×8 brick (with a five-line dedication of 18 characters per line) You can dedicate a brick online by clicking the link below:
